St. Tammany Health System is Hiring a PACU RN (Per Diem) Near Covington, LA

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Scheduled Weekly Hours: TBD
Potential shifts include: 7AM-7PM, 7:30AM-7:30PM, 8AM-8PM, 8:30AM-8:30PM, 10:30AM-10:30PM, with call required.
Summary of the Job:
Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame and to provide care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/equipment, and other health care team members. Must be available in-house within 30 minutes when on call.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current LA RN License. Current BLS and ALS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.
PALS certification within 6 months of hire through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.
Preferred Qualifications: Combination of acute medical / surgical nursing required, and critical care or post anesthesia nursing preferred.
Physical Demands:
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
Physical Effort required:
Constant (67%-100%) – hearing, seeing
Frequently (34%-66%) - lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, handling/feeling, talking
Occasionally (1%-33%) - climbing (stairs, ladders, etc.), stooping, crouching
